Panelization & numbering
-
The entire mural will be cut into pieces of approximately 600 mm each.
-
Each piece is numbered—you can install them by arranging the pieces according to the numbers.
-
-
Adhesives (choose based on substrate)
-
Wood board / Plywood: Use silicone sealant, multipurpose adhesive, PVA (white glue), or a wood-board-specific adhesive.
-
Cement wall / Concrete surface: Use tile adhesive (thin-set mortar).
-
-
Important notes
-
Some natural marble or glass tiles are semi-transparent. Choose the adhesive color carefully, as it may show through and alter the original color.
-
Use a neutral (non-corrosive) adhesive to prevent gold-foil mosaic tiles from being corroded.
-
For best results, apply a medium-consistency adhesive evenly to provide uniform support for the mosaic.
-
-
Grouting
-
Mosaic murals can be installed with grout or without grout, depending on the desired effect.
-
If grouting is required, choose a grout color close to the tile color (note: grout color options may be limited):
-
Light-colored tiles: Translucent or light gray grout
-
Dark-colored tiles: Dark gray grout
-
-
For wet areas, a waterproof grout is recommended.
